Central Trust Team

 

Where the Trustees focus on governance and strategy, the central team focuses on delivery, operations, and improvement:

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) leads the central team and is responsible for:

  • Implementing the Trust Board’s strategic plan
  • Leading the overall educational performance of the trust
  • Managing the executive and school leaders
  • Ensuring schools work together effectively (sharing resources, expertise, and good practice).

The CEO is the key link between the Trust Board (Trustees) and the schools.

 

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) leads the operational and financial side:

  • Prepares and monitors the trust-wide budget
  • Ensures compliance with the Academies Financial Handbook
  • Manages procurement, payroll, and contracts
  • Oversees financial reporting, audit, and value for money
  • Supports schools to stay within their budgets and manage resources efficiently
  • Weaver Trust has a finance team that handles local budgets for each academy.

The CFO is supported by the Trust Operations Manager and Finance team.

 

The HR Manager works alongside our school leaders to ensure consistency and fairness across all schools.

The HR team are responsible for:

  • Recruitment, on-boarding, and employment contracts
  • Implementing pay and conditions, including trust-wide HR policies
  • Employee relations, grievances, and performance management
  • Leadership development and staff wellbeing initiatives.

 

To support the governance of the Trust, Governance Professionals are part of the central team. 

They are responsible for:

  • Board and committee meetings
  • Record keeping, policy reviews, and legal compliance
  • Training for Trustees and local governors

They ensure the Trust meets its legal obligations and runs effective governance.

 

The Marketing Manager supports school leadership and the Trust team to promote the mission, vision and values of the Trust in our local communities. 

The Marketing Manager is responsible for:

  • Branding and reputation management
  • Advertising and relationships
